In spring 2004, I was asked to make some designs for a garment that would be used by the Chinese gymnastics team in the Athens Olympics and one of my designs was selected. The design was for a pattern of Swarovski crystals that can be seen in the picture above. The garment itself is made out of lycra and was produced by Invista. During the Olympics, it was worn by the athlete Teng Haibin in the pommel horse event. Good thing then that he was the only Chinese gymnast to win a gold medal…
I also designed some posters that the design school that I was working for at that time, LaSalle-DHU, could use for promoting the school. They were to be displayed in the windows of one of the school’s buildings.
